She has a background working with families in conflict, relationship issues, young adults experiencing significant life transitions, and has extensive experience with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. McKenna is a graduate of the University of San Diego with a Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy. McKenna has also completed Levels 1 & 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her work.

With a specialty in marriage and family therapy, McKenna believes that all work is relational in some capacity, and that relationships will be addressed even when seeing clients individually. She embodies a warm and empathic approach, and believes that everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have.

In her free time, McKenna enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, running, and traveling!
